The weekend

It was the most beautiful wedding!  Saturday, we went downtown Chicago to The Doubletree Magnificent Mile Hotel.  Our neighbor's daughter got married and she certainly was the ultimate definition of a most beautiful bride.  Beautiful, happy, smiling.  Always, her true nature anyway.  The handsome groom couldn't take his eyes off of her.  So romantic.  The wedding ceremony took place there at the hotel ballroom with wonderful music playing by Dolce Strings.  Heavenly.  The minister's "thoughts on marriage" were delightful and entertaining.  He is a friend.  It all made for an extremely happy occasion.  The food was delicious and the hotel lovely...and we enjoyed spending quality time with some of our wonderful neighbors.

"May the roads rise to meet you,
May the winds be always at your back,
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
 And until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."

Last night was "Club".  I love them.  I always will.  They are my friends forever.  Almost as long as I am old.  It's an experience.  Some happy.  talk, talk, talk.  Some not.  talk, talk, talk.  Happy news.  talk, talk, talk.  Sad news.  talk, talk, talk.  Bickering. tsk, tsk, tsk. Snickering.  tsk, tsk, tsk.  But we all go home hugging.
