A nice day

The day began rather cloudy, but the sun came out and it turned out beautiful. A day for a road trip with some friends. Arriving in Geneva, here is "The Little Traveler", a place for browsing and shopping. Thirty-six rooms of treasures!
The entire front "lawn" of this shop is low hedges and a squirrel was having a wonderful time running across the tops of them. Maybe, if you click on here to make this picture bigger, you will spot him. I wonder who trims those hedges? The squirrel?

Most of the shops are in beautiful old historic houses. These old houses are a treat in themselves.
Inviting doorways!

Time for lunch! A lovely place, "Wildwood". Crab cakes with crispy haystack potatoes and a wonderful salad of romaine and balsamic vinegrette.

Soon, time to head home, and one last stop by the Fox River to see the ducks.

My old neighborhood (grew up in Aurora) just down the road. LOVE the doors and how they are open inviting us to peek inside. Neato!

Nice day you had. That squirrel was hiding pretty good. Camera shy?

You ALWAYS make me hungry describing your lunches/dinners, etc. YUM!
