Yesterday's Tea

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a Tea. A "High Tea"! The tables were dressed in pink tablecloths with a vase of freshly picked wildflowers in the center. Virginia Bluebells, Pink Bleeding Hearts, Tulips of assorted colors. The serving tables were full of wonderful goodies prepared by all the volunteers. And all the 130 guests arrived in their straw hats and gloves. Sonya and I met them at their tables and helped each make a little remembrance booklet of "tea poems" for the occasion. The speaker was Joan Murphy who gave a wonderfully uplifting talk on "It's a Wonderful Life". She spoke of not holding on to negativity; letting go of it. Forgive. Turn negatives into positives. Spread happiness in everything you do. Everyone went out with a smile and it was a very enjoyable day for all.
