Twas the night before Christmas...

Due to circumstances beyond my control...the tree didn't get trimmed, the snowmen and the angels and the nativity stayed in their boxes, the packages weren't wrapped so pretty, the cookies didn't get baked...but Danielle was here for a few days and we colored and pasted and painted and read and watched "Prancer" and made a gingerbread house. What more could I ask for?

Can't ask for more than that. Zoe is spending new year's eve and new year's day with us. Big activities are being planned.

That gingerbread house looks yummy. I bet it doesn't last long. I also think you are doing great "winging it" at the holidays this year. Sometimes those are the best times, the unplanned ones, though I'm sure getting sick wasn't on the agenda. P.S. Love the thumbprint images Danielle did. Glad to continue to see her creative growth. She's very inspiring to me, helps me tap into my own inner child.
Happy New Year to you and yours!

It's a Wilton kit, but don't think it's edible. This is the second year Danielle and I have made one. I saved last year's and will continue to do that, and soon we will have a village.

How wonderful! I always wanted to make time to make a gingerbread house and the farthest i got was to but Rachel a kit. She hasn't made it either.
